MYM2QIFW Ver5.38 -> A MS Windows program that converts MYM DOS Ver 9 thru 12, MYM WIN Ver 1 thru 2.1, BankAmerica, NationsBank, and other data to Quicken Interchange Format (QIF); including Money, Portfolio, and Linked accounts, all Transfers, Category and Account Allocations in Splits, Account, Security and Category descriptions, and CFree payments. Supports optional linked CMAs in Quicken. The resulting QIF files can be imported into Quicken or MS_Money. A specified date range can be output, to facilitate routine processing of data retrieved from online banking service. MYM2QIFW has an option, for the MYM Window translation, to write all of the data to one QIF file, which when imported into Quicken will create all accounts, categories, and transactions. Product names, referenced herein, are registered trade names of their respective owners. Neither Bank Of America, Intuit, MECA, Microsoft, NationsBank, nor any of their subsidiaries or affiliates warrants the effectiveness or accuracy of the MYM2QIFW translation software. The limited warranty is stated on the first screen viewed when MYM2QIFW runs. Run mym2q538.exe to move the program files into their directories, keeping the newest version if these files are already present there. Setup will create a directory, such as "\mym2qifw" and put the remaining MYM2QIFW archive files into it. The mym2qifw.hlp and mym2qifw.exe files should always reside in the same directory. Please note that the vbrun300.dll file is required and is not contained in Zip files distributed on shareware archives. If it is not installed in your "\Windows\System" directory, then please retrieve it from http://www.respmech.com/mym2qifw/download.htm If a "sub or function not defined" error appears, this is an indication that this or another DLL is missing. After running the setup.exe program, then execute mymd2qifw.exe from within Windows (Run it) by selecting it's icon in the MYM2QIFW Program Start menu. Open the file named MYM2QIFW.PDF in Acrobat Reader (available at http://www.Adobe.com) for a description of the steps used to install MYM2QIFW, run the MYM Windows translation, and import QIF files into Quicken. Open the file named MYM2QIFW.HLP in Windows Help, or press while running MYM2QIFW, for a description of the steps used to process both MYM DOS and/or MYM Win files. The MYM2QIFW program is fully functional Serialware. It is available for limited use when evaluating. When registered an unlimited use activation key number is returned. The MYM2QIFW program archive may be freely distributed to any ftp site, BBS, etc., on the condition that all of the program archive files are included, none of the program archive files are modified in any way, and no action is taken that would violate the copyright protection of the author. Updated versions of the program files are available at: http://www.respmech.com/mym2qifw/download What version of MYM is the data in? If you happen to have a copy of MYM Windows (or download one), then open the MYM DOS data into MYM Windows and translate from there. The MYM Windows translation to QIF has some advantages. First the MYM2QIF program directly accesses the MYM Windows database, without the need for Export files. MYM2QIFW does not depend on any account numbers, or memo fields to determine transfer accounts, because the "internal" account numbers in the MYM Windows database are used. Account allocations in splits are actual transfers. Secondly the MYM Windows Portfolio registers do have an "Action" field that is similar to that in MS Money and Quicken. MYM Windows and Quicken both allow category allocations for transactions that will affect the cash balance directly in the Portfolio register; making a straight forward translation possible. The adjustment for CMA accounts is available for the MYM Windows translation. Additionally the MYM Windows translation exports all of the data to one "allinone.qif" file, instead of one QIF file for each account. Also the Home Inventory and Security Price History data is exported when translating MYM Windows. ***IMPORTANT*** for MYM Windows translation: Please do the following in MYM Win, immediately prior to running MYM2QIFW: 1. Backup the dataset. 2. Select "Pack Tables" from the "Tools/Utilities" drop down menu. 3. Select "ReIndex Tables" from the "Tools/Utilities" drop down menu. This allows MYM2QIFW to read the tables without "Duplicate Keys". This is required after any edits or deletes are made to data in MYM. **************************** Please check the mym2qifw.log file for any error messages after running MYM2QIFW translation.
